daytender is the first product from Stark Raving Bits, and appeals to both the happiness-seeking yoga master and the data-crunching geek. By leading the user through a set of daily steps called the DailyMirror and collecting user-customizable daily data, daytender nudges the user toward higher self-awareness.
Founders:
During his career in international business, Dean has lived and worked in Europe, Asia and Latin America. Until 2007, he was Vice President at Weyerhaeuser Company, where he ran a $300 million food packaging business and built a global sustainability office in Geneva, Switzerland after a career in technology. Since then, Dean has built businesses around his passions for technology, community, nature and food. Dean is also co-founder and a Managing Partner at Kila Ventures.
Ed explores the nature of happiness, the human condition, compassion, and communities on his blog, Aphorism and Egoism. He also cultivates his life through the practices of music, art, salsa, yoga, taiji, reiki, meditation, reading, writing, running, and communing with nature. His left brain is kept active at Microsoft's Technical Computing Group in his role doing both user experience and project management. Stark Raving Bits combines his engineering background and passion for helping others achieve their goals.
Developing his first web page in 1996, Scott has a long history in web development and is the primary developer and web designer for Stark Raving Bits. After graduating with a BS in Computer Science from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, he moved to the Pacific Northwest to work for Microsoft as a Program Manager. Quite a few years later he now manages large-scale projects in Microsoft's Developer Division when not cycling, doing yoga, or programming. Be sure to ask about his current set of mantras.
